Finals!
Posted by Travis on 30.04.

The semester is almost over and we're planning on doing a local dive the day after finals end, May 16. We haven't picked a location yet, so let us know if you'd like to go somewhere in particular. All options on the table.

Mansfield Dam, Apr 15
Posted by Travis on 06.04.

We're doing a few dives at Mansfield Dam next Sunday, Apr 15. We'll probably be out there most of the day. Let us know if you're interested.

Diving in the next few days
Posted by Travis on 10.03.

Monday or Tuesday (Mar 12th-13th) we're going to Stillhollow Lake outside Temple (supposed to have some of the best visibility in Texas) or Mammoth Park down on the coast. If you're interested, let me know by tomorrow. I still want to go to Canyon Lake/Comal River if anyone else is interested.
We had several people express interest in the Valhalla missile silo (Abilene) but we need a professional divemaster, which we currently lack, so that'll stay on the to do list for now.

Spring Break Diving
Posted by Travis on 07.03.

Okay. I want to do several dives over spring break (before SXSW starts) so I need input. What does everyone want to do? My current ideas include:
-Valhalla missile silo in Abilene
-Canyon Lake, near San Antonio
-Comal River, drift dive, possibly on way back from Canyon Lake?
-Huntsville dive park?
-Lake Travis, just about anywhere
Let me know what you'd like to do, because it's just a few days away.

Rebreather Demo, Feb 26
Posted by Travis on 01.02.

So we were contacted recently by a UT alum. working for Titan Dive Gear. They're going to be out here at the end of the month for the Texas Dive Show and have offered to let us try out their equipment. I love rebreathers so I'm very excited about this. We're meeting at Oak Hill SCUBA at noon for a brief presentation then heading to West Austin Athletic Club to use the pool there. Let me know if you're interested in participating. It's free.
